I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant; I normally go here during the summer for ice cream, but hadn't been for a sit down meal.
Upon arrival, the restaurant is clean and seems to be fairly busy so I assumed I was going to enjoy my visit. I ordered the lasagna and my dinner guest ordered the chicken parmesan. According to the menu, the lasagna is made with spinach, beef and ricotta cheese in marina sauce.
After my first bite, I noticed it was very bland and watery. I picked through the layers and found A. the noodles were overcooked and mush and B. there was no layer of ricotta and nothing between the layers except for marina sauce. If I were this establishment, I'd be completely embarrassed that we serve this slop. And to top it off, my dinner guests chicken was still pink and wet under the breading.
After putting my dish off to the side to politely hint that I did not want the rest of my meal, the server asked and I explained that I did not like it. The floor 'manager' comes over to my table demanding why I didn't like my meal and I explained to her the issues I found with my meal. After explaining the issue, refusing their "free desert" and the 10 dollar voucher, the 'manager' is enraged and tests me by commenting how they've sold 6...yes, six whole lasagnas tonight and none have come back. And the fact that they sell lasagna often. I explain I personally did not enjoy it and in my opinion the food was disgusting.
The fact that the manager even tried to argue with me over this issue is enough to drive me from coming back. Overall, nice atmosphere but scary food. I wouldn't be surprised if most encounter food poisoning from this establishment. Just stick with the ice cream!
